If It’s Good Enough for Them… Stars Who Swear by Hypnotherapy

When people first hear the word hypnotherapy, they sometimes imagine a pocket watch swinging or someone clucking like a chicken on stage. (Spoiler: that’s stage hypnosis, not hypnotherapy — and no chickens are involved in my sessions!).

What you might not realise is plenty of people you know and probably see on screen, on stage, or sport have turned to hypnotherapy — not for party tricks, but to feel calmer, happier, more confident, or perform at their best. And if it’s good enough for them… well, you see where I’m going with this!

Adele famously used hypnotherapy to tackle stage fright and performance nerves, helping her walk out in front of thousands without her knees giving way.

Matt Damon credited hypnotherapy with helping him quit smoking. (Not something I focus on these days, but hey — if it can tackle nicotine, imagine what it can do for overthinking.)

Tiger Woods, one of the most successful golfers of all time, has spoken about using hypnotherapy to stay calm and laser-focused under pressure.

Lily Allen used it to boost her confidence and mindset.

Ben Affleck turned to it for support with stress and habits.

Orlando Bloom, Ellen DeGeneres, Sophie Dahl, David Beckham, Geri Halliwell, and Samuel L. Jackson have all used it too.

(And that’s just to name a few…)

These are big names with big stages, big crowds, and (let’s face it) big pressures. But the truth is, the pressures we all experience aren’t on a leaderboard and hypnotherapy isn’t just for celebrities, athletes, or Oscar-winners. Their challenges might look a bit different sometimes, but we all feel the weight of stress, self-doubt, nerves and pressure in our own lives.

Hypnotherapy is for anyone who wants to:

Feel calmer and less frazzled by stress or anxiety

Build genuine confidence and self-worth

Improve focus and performance (whether on stage, in sport, or in your own day-to-day life)

Lift their mood, feel lighter, and enjoy life more fully

Celebrities might have red carpets, trophies, and screaming fans — but at the end of the day, they’re human too. They get nervous, stressed, overwhelmed, and self-doubting, just like the rest of us. And they turn to hypnotherapy for the same reason anyone does: because it works.

So, no need for a world tour, a gold medal, or a film premiere. If you’d like to feel calmer, happier, and more confident in your own everyday life, hypnotherapy can be every bit as effective for you as it is for them.

We all live different lives, but share the same potential for positive change.
